Wereworm is one of the possible bosses for Nidarian Guard Trailblazing maps. He walks back and forth in a pattern, with poisonous gas shooting out from his body. After a short amount of time the Wereworm either rises out or lowers into the ground and changes it's location to one of four places from the left side of the map to the right, forcing the player to move to continue attacking. It can only be damaged by attacking it is head.
Tips & TacticsEdit
As with fungeye, there is an exploitable and repeatable glitch during this battle. If the game is saved as you pass from the door room to Wereworm's lair, the initial animation will not occur and wereworm will not activate its haze jets. This makes the fight a fair bit easier, and allows the player to land a few extra early hits.
Aeronauts have the easiest time attacking this boss, a good strategy is to use the steamthrower when Wereworm is coming at you, and the normal shot while it is moving away.
A Ferric can easily find a platform close to Wereworm and attack it continuously with it's fast attacks before Wereworm turns around to the other direction.
Crags can swing onto the ceiling so that if Wereworm is high enough you can attack his head without taking any damage. If Wereworm is not tall enough to hit you can stand on a platform close to him and attack him (being careful not to take any damage). An advanced technique is to quickly up grapple for a small amount of time then to swipe down, and follow it up with another short up grapple, and swiping down again. This is recommended for the first and third places the Wereworm moves to. Once the Wereworm is about to move, grapple up to the ceiling above where it's going to be and prepare to continuously attack it for best results.
