Wallgliders are bat-like Mimics that hang around on walls waiting for the unsuspecting Nidarian to come stumbling through, at which point, they glide down and attack.
Tips & AttacksEdit
Simply fly underneath the Wallglider and fire upwards until it is defeated.
If you are in a tall narrow room with a Wallglider there will be the possibility that a platform will be in the middle. Once you are on the platform just keep attacking up, you should continually hit the Wallglider and eventually kill it.
Wallgliders normally have a certain area they can go in so if you cling onto the wall directly underneath them they cannot hit you but you can aim your weapon up at them, if they move just do the same process. If there are several in a vertical column, you can use your up A grapple to damage all of them on your way up.
From Mimics of Steamport City: Wallglider:
- This relative of the Batowl crawls up walls until it spots a victim, then glides through the air to an adjacent wall.
First Encounter: Gearlock Factory
- In the Mimicology Quest "Wallglider Study" (CY0007), you must collect 35 Wallglider Beaks for Cypress.
- In the Extermination Quest "Wallglider Extermination" (AS0029), the player must kill 50 Wallgliders per day for three days for Admiral Stanton.
- In the Extermination Quest "Enraged Wallgliders" (AS0078), the player must kill 100 enraged Wallgliders per day for three days for Admiral Stanton.
From the Thicket Woods Drop Point, head to the right 3 rooms, down 1, left 4 rooms, right 1 room, and down 1 room and you'll find five Wallgliders and a Blowgrub. You can also go from the Deep Forest Checkpoint by heading right 1 room, left 3 rooms, up 1, left 1 and up one more room to be in that same room. First kill the five Wallgliders in the room, saving the Blowgrub for last. Then go to the room directly below you and defeat all enemies, including Batowls if possible, and proceed to the room to the right and dispatch those enemies as well. Return to the room with the five Wallgliders and all the enemies will have respawned.
