Snarewhips are static whip-like mimics that will attack you by curling up and swinging around a small area, becoming invulnerable as it does so. There is a few seconds' pause between attacks when it will unfurl and its head will be vulnerable.

Tips & Attacks[]
Keeping some distance from this mimic will ensure safety, and there is easily enough time between attacks to land the three hits required to destroy it. Patience is often the key with these mimics.
Aeronaut[]
As an Aeronaut, just attack them diagonally or horizontally from a distance
Ferric[]
Its pretty easy to kill these things by standing and jump attacking near them, using backdash if it attacks. Also, you can use chainbombs on them.
Crag[]
Use your whip diagonally to hit its head, jumping back if it starts swinging. You can also stand beneath it and attack straight up and duck when it swings
Advanced
The NG spin attack (hold S) allows you to run through/stand in these fungi while they are swinging.
