Packrats are Mimics found only on Nidarian Guard-only Co-op trails which attack by throwing three rocks downward, one each to the left, to the center, and to the right.

It is important to note that there is about a two second delay between the last rock being thrown, and the first rock in the next volley. When rushing out to deal with a Packrat (which should be a priority, as they tend to hit players trying for a perfect co-op run) one should wait until the projectiles have been thrown, and take advantage of the pause to dispose of them.
If at all possible, attack the Packrat from the sides or higher to avoid being hit.

The best way to deal with a Packrat with an Aeronaut is to fly up until you are level with the Mimic, so it cannot hit you with its rocks.

If possible, hang from a wall beside them or above them to hit it.

- This Mimic has a long barbed tail that it uses to hang from ceilings. It hordes a mouthful of rocks, hurling them at intruders below.

Packrat locations in Hatchwood Wilds during CY0064.
- In the Mimicology Quest "Packrat Study" (CY0064), the player must collect 25 Packrat Ears, dropped by Packrats located in Hatchwood Wilds during this quest, and return them to Cypress.
Trophy Farming[]
Since the only place to find Packrats besides during Nidarian Guard Trailblazing is on the Mimicology Quest "Packrats Study" (CY0064), the only way to farm them is to accept the quest, kill some or all of them, abandon the quest, and accept it again.
