Mimitaurs are bipedal, ram-like Mimics that hide behind their Snapshell shields when attacked, making them immune to all attacks. When not hiding, they attack by throwing rocks. Upon dying, they throw 3 rocks into the air that deal damage on impact.

Tips & Attacks Edit

Timing is your friend if you want to kill Mimitaurs quickly. Remember the Mimitaurs can block itselves with a green shield/shell, so it may be hard to kill Mimitaurs.

Aeronaut Edit

Get as close as you can to the Mimitaur, almost touching. When the Mimitaur is defending, do not attack. When it stops defending, attack. Provided you are close enough to it, it will not defend in time. Repeat until the Mimitaur is dead.

Ferric Edit

Ferrics can kill Mimitaurs by them attacking normally, and damaging them when they drop their guard. However, it is usually more effective to use your roll attack - Mimitaurs never try to block it.

Crag Edit

One way is to stand close and spam attacks hoping to hit while the shield is down - good while reading a book.
By far the most reliable way is to stand back, wait until shield goes down, swing into the Mimitaur, back away and repeat. Mimitaurs do not treat a swinging crag as an offensive action and thus will not raise their shields preemtively. As a result, a swing attack will never be blocked unless the Mimitaur was already blocking.

Canyon Checkpoint: Go left, down, left. Kill two. Count the other mimics killed starting after the two Mimitaurs.

Mine Exit Checkpoint: Go left, (left and) down) left, left, left. Kill two.
If you have killed 8 other mimics, start over. Otherwise...

River Checkpoint: Go left, up. Kill one.
If you have killed 7 other mimics, start over.
Otherwise go down, jump in river to enter circuit.

Go (left and) up. Kill one.
Go down, (right and) up. Start killing other mimics.
Go up, up, right. Kill three.
Kill at least 9 other mimics after this room to respawn this room.
Go down. Jump in river to restart the circuit.

If you die, start from the Canyon Checkpoint.

Using the Checkpoints kills:

  • 4 in 16 rooms (6 empty), or
  • 5 in 20 rooms (9 empty)

The circuit is:

  • 4 in 7 rooms
