Jellywogs are Mimics that leap high into the air, then drift down slowly. Their side-to-side movements can throw you off if you are not careful.

TacticsEdit

Tips & AttacksEdit

The Jellywog will jump upwards when the player gets near or attacks, then float down from side to side, slightly favoring the left or right depending upon the direction of the player. It will stop moving when it reaches the ground or a ledge, and after a short pause will jump upwards again.

AeronautEdit

Stand off to one side of the Jellywog as it floats downwards, aiming and firing at it. You can also stand underneath it shooting upwards, although you may have to run to the side to avoid being damaged as it lands. While it is on the ground, you can often duck and hit it once or twice.

FerricEdit

When the Jellywog is airborne, watch its pattern of descent, seeing how closely it comes towards you, and attack accordingly from one side.

CragEdit

Stay just out of range and time your attacks based on the horizontal motion. Another method is to use the up A grapple to hit it once, then downward swipe it on your way down, and repeat.

Jellywogs Locations in Hatchwoods Wilds

From the Center Camp Checkpoint, head right, down, right, right, up left. You should be in a room that contains 3 Jellywogs and a Hookbill. Kill all of these enemies and continue to the up left exit. This room contains 2 Jellywogs, a Dewdrop, a Silksnake and a Hivehat. (You can leave one of the enemies alive in this room, it does not affect the run). Continue to the up left exit again, kill the single Hivehat in this room. Continue to the upper left exit yet again, killing the Stiltskin and the Wallworm. Head to the room left. This contains 3 Jellywogs. Kill these and return to the room with the 3 Jellywogs and a Hookbill. Repeat

This run grants you 8 Jellywog kills, as well as 2 Hivehats, a Wallworm, a Hookbill, a Stiltskin, a Dewdrop and a Silksnake. (This changes if you decide to leave one of the enemies in the second room).
