Harpoons are rare and dangerous Mimics that can only be accessed by a Nidarian Guard. Harpoons appear during a Daily Quest given by Cypress at the Mimicology Department.

Tactics

Tips & Attacks

Harpoons are very dangerous. They shoot poisonous darts, but they cannot fire downwards. When you are fighting Harpoons, these poison cures might help you:Acid Phosphate, Wormwood Tonic, and Elixir of Vitriol .

Aeronaut

Harpoon darts are very difficult to dodge. The recommended tactic is to keep close, shoot it once, run through it to the other side of it, and repeat until it dies. If the Harpoon is on a thin platform, it's easier just to shoot it from below, as Harpoons cannot fire downward.

Ferric

Make sure to get close to them so they can't poison you. They will hit you for 7 hp rather than poison damage.

Crag

If possible, put a wall between you and the Harpoon that is thin enough to attack through. If you can't, jumping over it and down-swiping works moderately well, however, be careful of darts shot upwards.

Quest Relevance

• Cypress gives the Daily Quest "Harpoon Sightings!" (CY0003), in which the player has to kill a certain number of Harpoons in a specific random location.
• The player must obtain 25 Harpoon Darts dropped by Harpoons in Hatchwood Wilds during the Mimicology Quest "Harpooon Study" (CY0036).

Trophy Farming

Since this Mimic only appears in Daily Quests and a Mimicology Quest given by Cypress, the only way to farm it is to complete the quest every time it is available.
