The Spitshot is a walrus-like Mimic only appearing in NG-exclusive Co-op missions and in the Mimicology Quest "Spitshot Study" (CY0066). It fires its tusks in one direction, turns around and fires in the opposite direction, and repeat. The projectiles originate from the Spitshot's mouth area and always travel straight till the end of their range when they drop slightly. Though predictable, the projectiles move quickly, so being able to time your jump is important.

Tips & Attacks[]
The Spitshot gives plenty of warning before shooting. Use this information as you will. The Spitshot has a simple Quilltoad-like pattern, when it shoots it turns around and shoots again.
Aeronaut[]
Attacking from range seems to be the best bet. Time out his attacks with yours and attack him in the space between when it spits. When faced with a Spitshot above, simply fly up and attack like normal, then drop out under the projectile it spits. When faced with a Spitshot below, time your descent carefully and begin blasting. If it turns before you have killed it, either duck or fly above the shot.
Ferric[]
Attacking it with barrel roll stunt. When the Spitshot takes fire, duck or jump over and repeat. Be careful, you must do it at the right time before it shoots out it's spit.
Crag[]
If the Spitshot can be attacked from below or from above, it can be killed while in no danger. Otherwise, you can simply dodge the tusk when fired and resume hitting it afterward. As a member of the Nidarian Guard, one can use the Flailspin to quickly eliminate this Mimic; keep the flail spinning and move with him such that you are always behind and out of harm's way.

Spitshot Locations in the Ridgeback Highlands during CY0066
- In the Mimicology Quest "Spitshot Study" (CY0066), the player must collect 25 Spitshot Tusks, dropped by Spitshots located in the Ridgeback Highlands during this quest, and return them to Cypress.
Trophy Farming[]
Since the only place to find Spitshots besides during Nidarian Guard Trailblazing is on the Mimicology Quest "Spitshot Study" (CY0066), the only way to farm Spitshots is to accept the quest, kill some or all of them, abandon the quest, and accept it again.
