Cypress is an NPC. He is the head of the Mimicology Department.
Background[]
Cypress is a Ferric of unknown tribal origins. Sycamore is his twin brother.
As the head of the Mimicology Department, Cypress studies Mimics in order to determine their origins and discover why they are able to evolve so quickly, as well as their role in spreading Haze and fungi. He often collaborates with Victory Labs to study Mimics.
Cypress creates all Sprockets.[1]
Mimicology[]
Cypress gives out all Mimicology Quests; each of these quests requires the player to collect certain parts of Mimics, deliver them to Cypress, then wait one day for him to study the items collected from each of the Mimics.
Cypress also gives out Nidarian Guard-exclusive Daily Quests that involve killing Mimics only members of the Nidarian can access, such as Harpoons and Trenchfoots.

Ferric Bros.: Cypress: Cypress happily runs the Department of Mimicology in Nidaria. He keeps detailed notes and drawings on the Mimics, diligently recording them in sprockets. His hands are full in Nidaria, so he often has to outsource his field work to recruits in town.

- Like almost all other Ferrics, Cypress is named after a type of plant (cypress).
